Objectives (Learning Outcomes): At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
(i) State the function of the heart
(ii) Identify and label the main parts of the heart and the main blood vessels as follows:
- The 4 chambers of the heart: right atrium, left atrium, right ventricle & left ventricle
- Pulmonary artery
- Pulmonary vein
- Aorta
- Vena cava
- Valves
(iii) State the reason why the wall of the left ventricle is thicker than the wall of
right ventricle
Materials: Laptop, projector, heart model, stethoscope, marker pen
Prerequisite knowledge: Circulatory system
